His new novel, BARNSVILLE, tells the tail of Jan Vincent, a young man with a sarcastic wit, who’s way beyond his years, for all the wrong reasons. Jan, along with his troubled mother have just fled Wisconsin with the Rhinelander police and the FBI close behind. Jan finds refuge in a strict Quaker boarding school in Barnesville, Ohio, but the safety he’s found is short lived. Unknown to Jan, his destiny, and others, have brought him to this school for one reason. Jan must defeat Lament Monroe Sinclair, a demon of epic proportions who’s come from 17th Century Ipswich Mass. to continue his horrifying campaign of death and torture against Quakers. He’s targeting the decedents of the Quaker’s responsible for his death, and his father’s, three hundred and fifty years ago. Jan has always had troubles in his life, starting with his disappearing father and his mother who can never hold a job. He also hears and sees things. These things have never made sense until he began to practice the tenants of the Quaker religion: humility and belief in the “inner light”.  Teaming up with his girlfriend, and classmate, Megan Putnam, they set out to solve the puzzles that unlock buried secretes showing them how to destroy Lament.  Only Jan’s connection to this mysterious inner light will give him the chance to defeat Lament, before Jan and the rest of his newly found family are murdered.
